Kitaaba Dhugeeffannoo Oromoo: AYYAANOTA Tibba Birraa ayyeeneffataman Fulbaana 2025  Caalaa Hayiluun barreeffamee maxxanfame irratti barreessaa Caalaa Hayiluu fi Obbo Ayyaana Goobanaa godhan caqasaa

This book is a cultural-historical work that explores Oromo culture, with a particular focus on Irreecha and other traditional festivals celebrated during Birra, the spring season of Oromia. It is based not only on research, but also on lived experiences, conversations with experts and elders, and the lessons I learned in Galma Waaqeffannaa when I was back home.

Within Oromo history and traditions, Irreecha stands as a symbol of peace, unity, and gratitude to Waaqa (God). Dhuggeeffannoo Oromoo highlights the philosophy and worldview deeply rooted in the Oromo nation—the history, meaning, and cultural expressions of Irreecha and the spring and autumn festivities. By weaving together elements of Oromo history, spirituality, and heritage, this book offers valuable insights and stands as an important contribution for both present and future generations.
